Shortcuts – Part 2
It’s been a while since I posted some of the basic keyboard shortcuts that I thought would be useful to help improve efficiency. In this second part are some additional, more advanced shortcuts and a great feature I only found out about recently that is really useful when showing someone how to carry out a PC activity, recording it and then sharing it.

Why use a VA?
If you are chasing your tail and always have too much ‘to do’ list left at the end of the week/month, then buying the hours you need from a Virtual Assistant makes perfect sense!
This free (ungated) infographic explains some of the reasons why it makes sense!
1% Marginal Gains can add up to a more successful business
In my recent videos I talk about how those marginal improvements can not only help the Olympic cycling team but also small businesses.
As part of that drive to help businesses I have created a crib sheet about keyboard shortcuts and improving your productivity. Click the link to download.
Grab a coffee!
Remember these? Many a happy childhood hour was spent making fun decisions with friends. Grab a coffee and take some time out of your day to make this easy origami chatterbox, there’s even a link to a YouTube instruction video. You can then use it to choose what to do to make your life or your business a little bit better. They say mindfulness is a powerful tool – you should take 10 minutes out of your day regularly unless you are busy….then you need 20 minutes!
Busy, busy, busy!
Often we are all too busy to stop and think about where the time goes. A good exercise is to pick an average week and try to track your time as best you can (time allowing, ironically!).
Only then can you take a good hard look at where the week goes. You can then think about what you are best at, what you enjoy the most and what brings value to the business. If you are a slow typer and are not a ‘detail’ person, why would you waste your time typing up huge proposals if you know you only have a 1:6 chance of winning the business, for example?
Check out online time management apps if that is your preference. Atracker for iPhone looks good but we have not tested it yet.
Alternatively, download this easy to use spreadsheet which can be used online or as a printed sheet.
